    1.5 Hour - $105 per person - age 7 and older

    Climb the mountain to see the Valley View overlook!

    Take a tour of our 520 acre horse ranch through the mountains and meadows between Webber and Menefee Mountain. You’ll see early 1900 homesteads throughout the ride and overlooks of the entire Mancos Valley.

    This tour is ideal for riders that are looking for a more advanced trail located on our ranch with beautiful scenic views.

    1/2 Day Ride - $265 per person - age 7 and older

    • Tax and gratuity not included - 20% gratuity will be added to reservations of 10 or more riders.
    • Weight Limit of 220 lbs.

     Spend 3-4 hours riding through the mountains, tall pines and crossing creeks to reach our lunch destination where you’ll have time for photos and some exploration. You will return from the ride through the La Plata mountain range with vast views of Shark’s Tooth Peak. Some experience recommended.

    1/2 Day Ride - $265 per person - age 7 and older

    • Weight Limit of 220 lbs. 

    Spend 3-4 hours riding through the Ute Tribal Park along the Mancos River to a 12th century cliff dwelling. Learn about ancient ancestral culture while enjoying lunch INSIDE the Sandal House cliff dwelling. Wild horses reside in this canyon and may be seen during the ride! Some experience recommended.

    24 Hour Advance Cancellation Notice - by phone or email

     All changes to a reservation or cancellation must be made 24 hours or more before the scheduled ride time. Changes to a reservation include: increasing or decreasing the number of riders, changing the ride time, changing the ride length, or canceling the ride all together. If contacted after the 24 hour period you will be charged the full amount or difference of the ride. No exceptions. At the discretion of Mesa Verde Stables reservations may be cancelled due to weather such as, but not limited to: rain, lightning, excessive wind, and extreme heat.

We ride from May through September with rides in the morning, midday, and late afternoon. If you are trying to make a "Same Day", "Next Day", Echo Basin or Tribal Park reservation please call the office to reserve:

    Long pants and closed toed shoes are always recommended for riding! Helmets are available (and highly recommended) for all riders, though not required. If you chose to wear a hat please make sure it fits snugly on your head or has a chin/stampede string in case of wind. Dress appropriately for the weather the day of your ride! 

    No bags or backpacks of any kind are allowed on the tours including fanny packs, camelbacks, or purses. Nothing can be wrapped or strapped around you. There is a holder on each saddle for a bottle of water and your phone for photos! Please leave your items in your vehicle! 

    Yes! Our weight limit is 220 lbs. for all rides.

    Age requirements vary for each ride type! Please see each ride option above for the age requirements.
